About Violette Editions
Violette Editions was established in 1997 by publisher and editor Robert Violette.
Initially publishing just one or two specialist books each year – renowned for their originality and high editorial, print and production standards – Violette Editions now has an enviable backlist focused on contemporary art and culture.
Recently published titles include Dixonary, the first comprehensive book on the work of designer Tom Dixon, written and illustrated by the designer himself; a major monograph on the photographs of British artist Sarah Jones with text by Brian Dillon, A. M. Homes and David Campany; and Eating at Hotel Il Pellicano, which captures the Michelin-starred recipes of Antonio Guida in photography by Juergen Teller and the wit of Will Self.
As well as publishing select titles under the Violette Editions imprint, Robert Violette has also devised, edited, produced and packaged fine illustrated books for other publishers and for a select range of private and commercial clients. For more information, see 'Other Publications’.
